Description

Shipper Receiver

Unified Valve Group is currently looking for a Shipper Receiver for our Shop in Grande Prairie. If you are detailed oriented, efficient and thrive in a busy environment, this may be the role for you!
Experience in handling valves, springs, gaskets, and other mechanical part is considered an asset but are not required – Unified Valve Group will train.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all incoming and outgoing goods, ensure inspections, documentation and tagging are performed and that goods are documented as shipped and received
  • Courteous and professional communication with customers, vendors and Unified Valve Group Team Members
  • Ensures all written instructions from our customers are consistent with Unified Valves Quality System
  • Ensures all verbal instruction from the customers are documented appropriately and retained on file
  • Maintains all document paperwork for each job through receiving and final inspection, including bills of lading for shipment
  • Ensures all finished product has undergone its final inspection as per our checklist and is packaged, contained or stored appropriately
  • Adherence to Unified Valve Group’s Safety Policies and Procedures

Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience
  • Must have good computer skills, experience with ValveTek would be considered an asset
  • Ability to work in both a team environment and alone with minimal supervision
  • Ability to use basic hand tools safely
  • Ability to read and write clearly
  • Strong problem-solving ability with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. Must be able to frequently stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms and stoop
  • Must be able to operate safely in a heavy equipment shop or onsite environment
  • Must be available to work flexible / irregular shifts and hours as needed, this is a field-based opportunity with occasional shop work
