Description

Shipper Receiver

Unified Valve Group is currently looking for professional, efficient and detailed oriented Shipper and Receiver to join our Fort St. John team. If you thrive in a busy environment where you interact with customers, vendors and Unified Valve team members on a daily basis, this may be the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures incoming Inspections are performed on all customer products and received purchases
  • Courteous and professional communication with customers
  • Maintain line of communication with Shop Foreman
  • Distributes all incoming goods to the appropriate department after they have undergone inspections, write-ups and tagging
  • Ensures all written instructions from our customers are consistent with Unified Valve Groups Quality System
  • Ensures all verbal instruction from the customers are documented appropriately and retained on file
  • Maintains all document paperwork for each job through receiving and final inspection, including bills of lading for shipment.
  • Ensures all finished product had undergone its final inspection as per our checklist and is packaged, contained or stored appropriately
  • As needed, complete deliveries of product

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Shipper and Receiver would be an asset
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience
  • Must have good computer skills, experience with Valve Tech would be considered an asset
  • Ability both in a team environment and alone with minimal supervision
  • Ability to use basic hand tools safely
  • Ability to read and write clearly
  • Strong problem solving ability with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. Must be able to frequently stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms and stoop
  • Must be able to operate safely in a heavy equipment shop/plant environment
  • Must be available to work flexible/irregular shifts and hours as needed
