Inside Sales Representative

Unified Valve Group is looking for a detailed oriented, hardworking Inside Sales Representative who thrives in a technical role that requires a high level of attention to detail and self-motivation. Reporting into the Sales Manager, this role is for you if you thrive on making connections, increasing customer satisfaction, balancing competing priorities effectively and being part of a cooperative, collaborative team. Position can be based out of Calgary or Edmonton, AB.

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of inside sales experience supporting Western Canadian clients required
  • Professional Engineer is preferred, CET certification an asset
  • Strong technical knowledge required
  • Manual Valve i.e. gate, globe, check, control, plug valves quoting experience required
  • Valve and Actuation experience an asset
  • Exceptional communicator and customer service oriented with good interpersonal skills and ability to adjust to various personality types
  • Proven attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively
  • Must have proven ability of taking ownership of tasks
  • Must be a team player who is willing to wear many hats and help where needed
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills required, experience with Great Plains would be an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound sales calls providing excellent customer service
  • Prepare and follow up on technical quotations, order entry and expediting
  • Maintain high level of product and service knowledge for effective customer service as well as being able to make informed suggestions and recommendations
  • Maintain open communication with the sales team and all relevant stakeholders to ensure complete, timely and accurate service delivery with every customer and every order
  • Liaise with Unified Valve Group Service team and Shipping & Receiving for status requests
  • Promote new and existing products to current customers
  • Maintain, expand and develop customer bases
  • Maintain and expand prospect database
  • Regular reporting of sales activities
